• Worksite Location: Litchfield, MN
• Compensation: $50-70k DOE

What the Assistant Controller will do:

• Process vendor invoices, verifies accuracy, and ensures timely payments
• Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain accurate accounts payable files
• Reconcile cash, checks, and credit card payments, and prepare bank deposits
• Process company credit card statements
• Generate and review key financial reports for the company, analyze data to identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights and recommendations
• Maintain financial records for tax purposes
• Maintain vehicle fleet records and files necessary tax and registration documents
• Assist department managers and co-workers with job-related tasks
• Provide phone coverage as needed
• Serve as backup to the controller for payroll, generating reports, banking, reconciling statements, reviewing internal work orders, inventory, and other key duties as assigned

What you’ll bring to the Assistant Controller role:

• Associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred; or 3+ years of proven relevant experience
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Experience using accounts payable system applications
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel and internet functions
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent problem-solving, investigative and analytical skills
• Knowledge of agriculture and the equipment industry preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
