Job Description

TalentoHC is actively partnered with an enterprise client seeking an AutoCAD Drafter on contract to join their team.

This role involves measuring areas from design drawings, managing data within drawing files, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements while collaborating with designers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and edit 2D technical drawings in AutoCAD.
• Update and maintain drawing revisions.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
• Work closely with designers and project managers to understand project needs.
• Organize and manage drawing files for easy access and version control.
• Conduct quality checks for accuracy and adherence to design standards.
• Assist in preparing documentation, layouts, and presentations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting).
• Knowledge of technical drawing principles, tolerances, and drafting standards.
• Experience with naval or architectural drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD macros and workflows.
• Experience with Revit, SolidWorks, or MicroStation is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of construction details, methods, and code compliance.
• Portfolio required.

Education & Experience:

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1-2+ years of CAD drafting experience, preferably in engineering or construction.
