Our clinicians are vital in the recovery of patients who are chronic, critically ill, and medically complex. Summary Responsible for managing, directing, coordinating, and controlling the overall operations of a hospital. Provides leadership to ensure strategic objectives are met and quality, economical healthcare services are delivered. Initiates and enforces organization-wide policies and procedures supporting hospital objectives. Ensures nursing and clinical departments meet performance standards, policies, and legal requirements. Oversees organization of nursing and clinical departments according to guidelines, ensuring compliance with standards. Has authority over standards of Nursing Practice, clinical operations, and financial matters related to nursing and clinical care areas. Essential Functions Promotes safety culture aligned with the National Quality Program and High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles. Oversees all hospital operations including clinical, ancillary, and support departments. Implements policies established by the hospital's Governing Body. Collaborates with the Market CEO on strategic planning. Develops and communicates hospital policies and operational procedures, considering patient population and risk factors. Leads initiatives in the Strategic Quality Plan and maintains systems for verifying staff qualifications and competencies. Participates in hospital quality councils and committees. Develops and monitors the hospital budget, ensuring financial compliance. Oversees finance/business functions to ensure appropriate fund management. Ensures appropriate staffing plans for departments. Coordinates with leadership to meet community healthcare needs and monitors medical activities. Serves on executive and other administrative committees; attends governing board meetings. Ensures compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards, including the Company's Code of Conduct and policies. Provides direction to hospital leadership, fostering high morale and a positive work environment. Develops knowledge of electronic medical records and ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance, maintaining survey readiness. Maintains physical property safety and functionality. Monitors employee performance regarding adherence to the Code of Conduct and compliance policies. Acts as Privacy Officer, implementing privacy policies and handling patient privacy concerns. Collaborates with regional leadership to improve safety and quality initiatives. $135,000 - $205,000 / annually Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; Master’s in healthcare administration, business, public health, or clinical specialty preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse license in the state. Experience: At least five years in healthcare management, with two years in senior nursing management in a hospital setting. Prior COO or CEO experience is preferred. Graduate education may substitute for experience on a year-to-year basis.
