The Role

This role holds a critical position driving growth and development within the assigned market. Responsibilities include active engagement in outside sales efforts, strategic planning, crafting proposals, and effectively communicating problem statements to address customer pain points. They are accountable for developing comprehensive customer development plans, ensuring resource allocation, managing communications and conflicts, overseeing recruitment, and driving profitability while nurturing talent within the organization.

The Director, Business Development has a 360-degree approach to continuously advocating for and driving improvements on behalf of our customers through optimizing their experience and driving solutions.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

  1. Serve as a key evangelist and subject matter expert in Talent aligned with our vision with the local market, internal company associates and all who interact with this individual.
  2. Manage a projects list and report on status weekly for internal, customer or other initiatives.
  3. Develop business cases, manage and execute on cross functional projects ensuring organizational progress & readiness in a high growth firm.
  4. Espouses the culture of the firm as a key tone setter to our associates every day.
  5. Compile weekly lifecycle recruiting metrics and financial forecasting for actual v. goals for assigned accounts.

Customer Development

  1. Develop comprehensive customer development plan with weekly forecasting to achieve business objectives for assigned practice, vertical or geography.
  2. Develop customer growth plans ensuring objectives are consistently met while measuring the correlation between satisfaction and revenue/gross profit objective.
  3. Successfully build relationships with prospect customers.
  4. Understand customer pain points and provide value to them through logically assembled information for them to consume and act on.
  5. Create proposals, statements of work and price opportunities; Articulate problem statements and create presentations/proposals on our approach to address pain points.
  6. Partner with marketing to develop campaigns that drive lead generation strategic alliances thought leadership etc. resulting in market activation and growth.

Customer Experience

  1. Ensure the appropriate resourcing for customers to ensure the appropriate outcomes.
  2. Serve as a Recruiting expert to our customers’ HR business partners and hiring managers across multiple functional domains.
  3. Responsible for customer communications, conflict resolution and compliance.
  4. Develops and manages recruiting KPI's per customer producing insightful stories and driving delivery excellence through data.
  5. Successfully review job descriptions and analyze client requirements in order to understand the needs of the hiring manager and skills required.

Experience and knowledge requirements for the Director, Business Development:

  1. 15 years of recruiting & human resources experience.
  2. 7+ years as a team lead – developing, hiring, onboarding recruiting professionals.
  3. 5+ years owning a large, complex customer relationship.
  4. 10+ years’ experience in sourcing and candidate assessment.
  5. Fluent in English. Spanish preferred.
