United Producers  is a market-leading provider of livestock marketing,  credit and risk management solutions. We are currently looking for an  Entry-Level   Underwriter for our Columbus, Ohio office. Successful candidates will either have a Bachelors degree in AgBusiness, AgEconomics, or related field or at least two (2) years' experience with direct Ag lending and/or underwriting, credit administration, loan documentation, or commercial lending required. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products to include, but not limited to MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. Prior experience in the livestock industry preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Communicate professionally and effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Evaluate new and existing agricultural loan requests to ascertain credit worthiness, identify and mitigate weaknesses, underwrite, and recommend approval on loan requests within credit policy standards.
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with credit team and provide support.
• Serve as a resource to ensure quality control over all aspects of credit underwriting process.
• Complete work in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy.
• Back-up the Loan Administrator
