Black & Veatch EPC Project Director - Substations Transmission and Distribution Southeast US Hybrid Job Details EPC Project Director - Substations Transmission and Distribution Southeast US Hybrid Date: Oct 11, 2024 Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Opportunity Type: Staff The Opportunity The EPC Project Director for Electric Grid will function in a project and commercial leadership capacity. You will own the bottom-line for a portfolio of EPC and services projects primarily encompassing transmission, distribution, and substations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Manage a portfolio of some of the most visible projects within Black & Veatch. Lead projects that have substantial impact within various global communities. Mentor and supervise project managers in a high-growth area of our organization. Please note: This role has substantial travel as needed to project and client sites. When not travelling, this role will be hybrid: 2 days per week remote, 3 days per week in-office out of any of Black & Veatch's offices in the Southeast US region. Key Responsibilities Directs complex projects requiring global resources and multiple partners or multiple PMs. Manages multiple clients and/or accountable for implementing expanded new business objectives. Oversees and delivers opportunities for new/repeat business, finalizing key contract negotiations with client executives and project managers. Manages broad and varied complex risk profile. Management Responsibilities Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates. Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Work Environment/Physical Demands Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation).
