Job Description
**Responsibilities**
Responsible for initial decontamination of instruments post surgical procedure inspection and maintenance of instrumentation packaging for appropriate sterilization process supervision and/or completion of cold disinfecting process.
+ Facilitates instrument purchase under direction of the specialty coordinators.
+ Rotation of sterile instruments in designated storage areas to assure presentation and maximum utilization of items within appropriate shelf life and sterilization date period.
+ Communicating need for upgrading or replacement of instrumentation.
+ Transport of patients delivery of surgical specimens with necessary documentation.
+ Share in responsibility for cleaning documentation and participation in maintenance and spore testing of unit sterilizers and washer sterilizers.

**Qualifications**
+ Minimum of one year experience as an Instrument Technician or Central Service Technician or relevant instrument processing experience
+ Basic knowledge of medical terminology and nomenclature of equipment used in the department
+ Certification with Sterile Processing preferred

$23.00 - $28.44 /hour
