Job Summary:

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide compassionate care to patients under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician, all while operating within the scope of your license. Your role is essential in ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to patient assessments and ensure their well-being.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, and available resources.
• Document provider encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
• Transcribe patient orders and ensure all necessary data is available for treatment decisions.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensing.

Experience:

• No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant use of speech for effective communication.
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use.
• Occasional lifting/moving of patients and objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Ability to detect odors and hear alarms or communication.

Required Professional License and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Nurse Licensure Issued by Compact State
