Eighteen stations are affiliated with the FOX Network, producing approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly, leveraging viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for the network’s content. Job Description WTTG/WDCA - Multimedia Journalist (Regular Full-Time) We are hiring a Multimedia Journalist to join the FOX 5 DC Team based in Bethesda, MD. The role involves curating, producing, and hosting live coverage of breaking news and major events, providing real-time updates across digital, social, streaming, and broadcast platforms. Ideal candidates are quick thinkers, energetic, team-oriented, and passionate storytellers who are tech-savvy and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable reporting, hosting, and producing content, with a strong understanding of digital news production tools. Primary Responsibilities Gather, produce, and present live, original content including breaking news across multiple platforms. Manage live video production, including switching and graphics. Monitor live feeds, social media, and news tools for updates. Contribute story ideas and adhere to journalistic standards. Produce content for other team members and assist in planning. Monitor analytics and stay informed on current events. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements 3+ years of experience in live news reporting and hosting on digital/social platforms (preferred). BA/BS in Journalism, Communications, or related field. Excellent live communication skills and ability to host extended coverage. Tech-savvy with knowledge of live streaming, video publishing, and digital tools. Experience with TriCaster or similar systems is a plus. Strong news judgment, social media expertise, and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure, including weekends and holidays. Must submit a reel or recent work link. Additional Information This is a 24/7 operation based in Bethesda, MD, requiring flexible scheduling, overtime, and potential travel. Candidates must join the SAG-AFTRA union. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, and professional development.
