Position Summary: Responsible for functions of the credentialing, denials management and contracting processes, focusing on payment integrity. Maintains database, tracks, and verifies that payor credentialing lists are current and valid. Evaluates payments against expected reimbursement, identifying issues of denials, underpayments, and overpayments. Collaborates with clients for corrective actions in the areas of denials, credentialing or contracting.
Position Qualifications:
1. Preferred a minimum of two years college or specialized training in office administration.
2. Two years’ experience in an executive office, preferably in the healthcare field.
3. CPCS certification preferred.
4. Optimum degree of responsibility for confidentiality matters.
5. Cooperative attitude and deal effectively in working with Board members, medical staff, department managers, community leaders and the public.
6. Must be able to work independently and be highly organized and efficient.
7. Computer literate in MS Excel, certification preferred.
8. Prior experience in hospital contracting, denials management, or similar background preferred.
9. Willingness and ability to assume additional responsibilities.
