Job Description

Our client is searching for a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer with expertise in building integrations with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Athena, and eClinicalWorks. This role involves working closely with both clients and internal teams to customize, deploy, and optimize AI-powered solutions in real-world healthcare environments. Candidates with direct EHR integration experience are highly preferred, though exceptions may be made for exceptional talent with strong technical backgrounds.

About the Role:

• Design, develop, and implement integrations between AI systems and major EHR platforms like Epic, Athena, and eClinicalWorks.
• Collaborate with healthcare clients to understand their workflows, technical infrastructure, and integration needs.
• Customize and configure solutions to align with client requirements, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
• Lead deployment efforts, including testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing integrations in live environments.
• Provide technical support and training to clients during and after deployment.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to enhance integration capabilities and user experience.
• Stay current on trends and best practices in healthcare technology, particularly regarding EHR interoperability and data standards.

About You:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or technical implementation roles, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Hands-on experience integrating with EHR platforms such as Epic, Athena, or eClinicalWorks.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data formats and standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CDA).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar, with experience in API development and data integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and secure data handling practices.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in deploying AI or machine learning solutions within healthcare environments.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA).
