Job Description

Position Summary: The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials and supplies between company buildings, ensuring safe and efficient deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines. This role requires independent decision-making, attention to detail, and adherence to company policies regarding load security, cleanliness, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to keeping production operations running smoothly. Duties 1. Transport supplies as needed between buildings. 2. Load and unload truck independently. 3. Ensure all loads are properly secured for safe transportation. 4. Move unloaded parts to designated areas per Supervisor's instructions. 5. Assist with loading/unloading trucks as needed. 6. Transport billets and dies to the forge and unload as necessary. 7. Transport parts or equipment to and from vendors or customers as required. 8. Maintain a clean and organized loading area and dock. 9. Keep the truck clean and in good condition. 10. When trucking duties are completed, report to the warehouse building supervisor for further tasks. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or group leader. 1. Valid Commercial Drivers's License (CDL) Class A or B
2. Commercial truck driving in manufacturing or warehouse environment
3. Must have a clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
4. Experience with loading, unloading, and securing cargo to ensure safe transport.
5. Exposure to high-temperature environments, dust, and noise typical of a forging plant.
6. Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

Specific Work Preferences

1. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
2. Basic mechanical knowledge to inspect and perform minor maintenance on trucks.
