Calder Casino is a great place to work! As a Card Room Dealer, you will be responsible for the control of the card games, providing exemplary guest service, and increasing rated play. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hazard-free work environment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deals cards to players and shuffles as appropriate according to established rules and regulations.
• Ensures that correct "rake" is taken from the designated players.
• Ensures that wagers are placed after cards are dealt.
• Monitors game and notifies supervisor of any disputes, problems, or concerns with either a patron or the progress of the game.
• Promotes positive Team Member and Guest relations at all times.
• Responsible for the operation and conduct of the assigned game in accordance with SOPs, internal controls, and the rules and procedures of the cardroom.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate leaders of concerns and observations.
• Ensure prompt and discreet notification to leaders and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
• Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests.
• Assisting guest with seating and chip distribution.
• Responsible for keeping the cardroom clean, sanitized, and in order.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Maintains a professional working relationship among all Team Members and guests.
• Knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations.
• Adherence to Code of Conduct and all Calder Casino policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain and upbeat and positive outlook at all times.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to assume responsibility relative to the performance of the cardroom.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• High school or GED equivalent or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge and experience dealing Card Room games.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
